My Personal Development Of Business - 957 Words

Personally, it has always been hard for me to stay organized and develop plans to achieve whatever it is I am doing if I do not have passion for it. I have always had a dislike for most of the things I have learned in school, but developed a passion for the world of business. Tony Hsieh said, â€Å"Chase the vision [or plan], not the money; the money will end up following you.† Over the past years, my intellectual development involving business has resulted in a growth of my desire to learn and succeed in school. One day I was helping my dad pressure wash one of our rental houses. After finishing, I realized that it was a pretty simple task and maybe could make some money off it. So I did some research and decided to give it a try. I asked one of my best friends if he would like to pitch in some money and help me start up the business up. He said yes, so we borrowed some money from our dads, bought equipment, and went out and tried to make some money; and MW Pressure Washing was born. We went door to door around our neighborhood to try and get our first job. We eventually got one, a driveway, and scheduled it that weekend. We priced the job extremely low because we had no clue what we were doing and we barely knew how to work our pressure washer. After our first job was finished, we would pick up some jobs, maybe once or twice a month, just to make some money. Then, in the end of 2012 work started to gradually pick up.
